Present Practice: Heather Hoffman is an experienced title examiner. She has spent most of her 30-plus year law career in real estate, working at a number of downtown law firms. (Goldstein & Manello, Csaplar & Bok, and Warner & Stackpole.)
For almost twenty years, she has been of-counsel to Israel Van Kooy Law, LLC (formerly The Law Offices of Laurie Israel), handling the title, real estate and conveyancing portions of the practice. She also provides advice in other types of cases to assist Laurie Israel.
Her title examination experience ranges from simple house titles to larger commercial transactions.
She employs her husband, Mark Jaquith, as a title examiner. They work closely together (at different registries). This work arrangement permits them to cover more registries than otherwise would be possible, and also to share the care of their young daughter, who is looking forward to chaining more titles.
Outside Interests: Knitting and beading. She is the current treasurer-for-life of the NorthEast Map Organization. She is also active at the Amigos School in Cambridge and the East Cambridge Planning Team.
Education: Harvard Law School., J.D. Cum Laude, 1983. Michigan State University, B.A. high honors, 1979.
